There will be two voter registration training sessions for new members and those who want to refresh their knowledge of the online process and the Fairfax League's procedures. More sessions may be scheduled as needed.

The League of Women Voters of the Fairfax Area holds Voter Registration Events at various locations across the county. We held over 40 events in 2016 and will hold many more in 2017.

The fall 2016 locations included: 

  • The Pimmit Hills High School & Adult Center in Falls Church. 
  • The Adult High School Education W. T. Woodson High School in Fairfax.
  • Northern Virginia Community College, Annandale Campus
  • Northern Virginia Community College, Medical Education Campus in Springfield
  • George Mason University in Fairfax
  • Decision 2016: A Business Perspective at Gannett Headquarters in Tyson's 
  • Hayfield Secondary School Back to School Night in Alexandria
  • NOVA District PTA Training at Luther Jackson MS
  • Starbucks at the Pan Am Shopping Center in Fairfax

    Please sign up now to volunteer if you are interested in helping with LWVFA's Voter Registration Drives.. Please indicate if you are associated with any groups (such as AAUW, a PTA, an FCPS high school -- it's OK if you are unaffiliated) in the comment section.

    LWV of the Fairfax Area registers voters. We welcome you to join us. In order to register voters, one must do the following:

    1. Voter Registration Volunteers The League of Women Voters of the Fairfax Area seeks volunteers to register voters at various locations across the county this fall. To volunteer, sign up here

    LWVFA is looking for volunteers, including those helping with voter registration, for the Reston Multicultural Festival on September 23, 2017. To volunteer, click here.

    Registering voters requires official training. Here's more information:

    1. Complete the Third Party Voter Registration Training

    2. Underneath the PowerPoint slide show, on the same web page, there is an instruction in green italics. Be sure to click on it to go to the Survey Monkey questionnaire, which is the affidavit. After you have completed it, your name will be entered into the database for this year.

    3. Voter Registration Application Request and Affidavit: Complete this at the end of the training.

    League Members and Voter Registration Drives

    We welcome you to join the League, but you do NOT have to be a League member to participate in our Voter Registration Drives. We will ensure that a League member is present. Join the League by clicking here.
