League Positions

A League position is a statement of a League’s point of view on an issue. Positions develop through a process of through membership study, membership agreement (consensus or concurrence), and approval by the appropriate League board. We act only when we have a position on an issue. Read more about developing positions here.

We use LWVFA positions and positions of the League of Women Voters of the United States (LWV-US), the League of Women Voters of Virginia (LWV-VA), and the League of Women Voters of the National Capital Area (LWVNCA) to advocate.
