Your donation to either the Education Fund or the General Fund can be made by

• Making a one-time or automatic cash donation now (we accept PayPal)

• Making a Memorial or Tribute

• Contributing Stocks, Mutual Funds, & Bonds

• Applying your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) to the Funds

  • Only RMDs made directly to the League of Women Voters of the Fairfax Area Education Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization, as qualified charitable distributions (QCDs) are considered nontaxable income.

  • RMDs made to the League of Women Voters of the Fairfax Area General Fund, a 501(c)(4) organization, are considered as taxable income.

Your Donor Advised Fund (DAF) grant can only be directed to League of Women Voters of the Fairfax Area Education Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization.

The League of Women Voters of the Fairfax Area Education Fund is a non-profit charitable 501(c)(3) organization that supports our educational and voters service activities.  All donations are tax-deductible. 

The League of Women Voters of the Fairfax Area (a.k.a., General Fund) is a non-profit 501(c)(4) organization that supports our action and advocacy priorities.  Donations are not tax-deductible.
